Data Management Specialist

Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Contract Type: Permanent or Contract

We're looking for an experienced Data Manager WHO HAS MIS experience to join a leading independent education organisation in Edinburgh.

This is a hands on role where you'll take ownership of the organisation's data management, reporting and MIS function, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and accessibility of critical information that supports both operational and strategic decision making.

The Role

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will be responsible for managing the College's data systems, developing insightful reporting and dashboards, maintaining high standards of data quality. You'll play a key role in helping the organisation maximise the value of its data while supporting users across the business.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Data Manager, MIS Manager or Data Specialist.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and optimise complex queries.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, analysis and data modelling.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of data management, governance and data quality.
  • Experience supporting Management Information Systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
