Dunraven School – a successful and diverse all-through school with a commitment to “Excellence for All” – is seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic Data Manager to take charge of its MIS and ensure best practices in data.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the school’s MIS and other systems, overseeing appropriate access and user rights.
- Collecting and collating relevant, accurate data for attendance, examinations, assessment and reporting, and student and staff records.
- Leading and implementing Data Retention and Breach policies and ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Ensuring the accurate entry, storage, manipulation and analysis of student data.
- Completing the School Census and other statistical returns required by the local authority and Government.
- Constructing and maintaining the school timetable.
- Coordinating all data relating to admissions and new students.
- Overseeing public and internal examinations throughout the year, working with the Senior Team to produce analysis of KS3, KS4, and post-16 qualifications.
- Using data to search for trends, identify groups needing intervention and explore links with attendance.
- Planning and overseeing whole-school reporting at regular intervals.
- Supporting the Cover Manager in running the cover system for absent staff and maintaining absence records.

Skills and Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Knowledge and understanding of the data requirements of schools, with extensive knowledge of SIMS (School Information Management Systems) or other Management Information Systems.
- Ability to interpret and analyse data or situations in order to make decisions or recommendations.
- Knowledge of a variety of ICT applications, including Excel, with experience operating computerised administration systems.
- Experience of data input and manipulation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.

Salary: £51,228 – £62,742, depending on qualifications and experience.
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, permanent (term-time plus will be considered for the right candidate).
