Main Duties of the Job
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a BMTCT Data Manager to join the Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Team (BMTCT). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a highly specialised service, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of stem cell transplantation and CAR-T therapies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timely submission of complex clinical and regulatory data, helping to maintain high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance and service excellence.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing complex Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy (BMTCT) and CAR-T datasets, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timely submission of clinical and regulatory data.
- Supporting national reporting requirements, EBMT Registry submissions and JACIE accreditation standards, maintaining high levels of data quality and compliance.
- Reviewing and supporting high-value financial invoicing processes, exercising excellent attention to detail and accountability for financial accuracy.
- Working collaboratively with clinical, operational and administrative colleagues across the BMTCT service to support the effective delivery of transplant and cellular therapy services.
What Experience/Skills Are Needed
- EBMT Registry training and authorised access to the EBMT database.
- Proven experience of managing transplant and cellular therapy data, including the completion, validation and submission of EBMT datasets.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret, validate and manage complex data accurately.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
Additional Information
- This is a fixed-term temporary acting-up opportunity for 12 weeks.
- The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with members of the multidisciplinary teams across the service.
- This role would suit an individual with excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for using data to support high-quality patient care and service improvement.

Essential Criteria
- As this is a fixed-term temporary appointment, applicants should already hold approved EBMT Registry training and have authorised access to the EBMT database.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of managing transplant and cellular therapy data, including the completion and submission of EBMT datasets within a regulatory and quality-driven environment.

Essential Criteria
- Health and physical abilities sufficient for the post (if necessary with reasonable adjustments with respect to the Equality Act/Disability Discrimination Act).
Qualifications / Training Required
Essential Criteria
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above).
- Relevant ECDL or equivalent.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Desirable Criteria
- Foundation Degree Level Qualification or equivalent knowledge/experience.
Previous or Relevant Experience Necessary
Essential Criteria
- Experience in data management.
- Good Excel skills and report writing.
- Working in a busy and demanding environment. Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Demonstrate a good understanding and importance of confidentiality and data protection.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, Access, Word and Business Intelligence with ability to use standard formulae and write queries.
Desirable Criteria
- Patient Administration System trained.
- Experience working within the healthcare sector.
Special Requirements of the Post
