Data Manager (Clinical Trials)
Location: Hybrid – the role is based in High Holborn, London with some homeworking
Salary: £43,012 - £46,240 per annum (dependent on experience) plus benefits
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week
Start: As soon as possible
The Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre (ICNARC) is a small, independent, nationally and internationally respected, scientific, not-for-profit organisation (c60 staff in total). We use accurate data to help improve the quality of critical care through audit, research and education, conducted with, and in the interests of, patients and those who care for them.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager to join an innovative and independent Clinical Trials Unit (UKCRC fully registered) and help to deliver high-quality research in a unique and challenging setting, across our portfolio of adult and paediatric critical care studies. The successful candidate will implement and maintain effective data management processes across ICNARC’s clinical research, in order to ensure the quality and integrity of data.
You will also lead in the development of the critical study datasets, alongside data collection systems, ensuring that data meet the standards of quality expected for reporting both internally and to regulatory bodies and trial committees in accordance with the relevant legislation. You will also lead in the development of relevant policies, Standard Operating Procedures, dataset specifications, dataset flows, case report forms and data management plans.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of your work. You will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing and maintaining effective data management processes across ICNARC’s clinical research. Therefore, previous experience of working with data and ability to think analytically about requirements for implementing and maintaining data management processes are essential.
Experience of working in data management for clinical trials would be beneficial, including experience of electronic data capture software for clinical research e.g. OpenClinica or MACRO, knowledge of SQL (using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio).
