Job Type

6 months contract engagement.

Introduction / Purpose

The Data Manager, Omnichannel Data & Analytics, is the business owner for data requirements, data architecture and data management practices supporting omnichannel customer engagement and performance measurement.

The role will establish and maintain a clear business view of the data needed to support customer engagement, campaign measurement, reporting and optimization. It will translate business needs into actionable requirements for development and data integration teams, with particular focus on Veeva capability, data structures and the reliable integration of customer, engagement and activity data across connected platforms.

The role combines business data architecture, functional oversight and analytics leadership. It does not require hands on engineering or line management responsibility. The Data Manager will partner closely with IT and delivery teams on technical design, security, architecture and implementation, while ensuring that business definitions, data quality, lineage, compliance requirements and acceptance criteria are clear and consistently applied.

Essential Responsibilities

Business Data Architecture

  • Own and maintain business data requirements for omnichannel customer engagement, measurement, reporting and optimization.
  • Define and maintain conceptual and logical data models that describe key business entities, identifiers, relationships and data flows.
  • Establish clear business definitions for data used in omnichannel activity, reporting, KPIs and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain source to target mappings, business rules, data lineage and documentation for relevant data domains.
  • Define requirements for master and reference data, including the consistent use of identifiers, hierarchies, relationships and approved reference values.
  • Ensure data requirements support the measurement of digital, marketing/medical CRM, field engagement, media, social media and other relevant customer engagement activity.
  • Identify architecture dependencies, data gaps and risks early, and recommend practical options that support business priorities and delivery outcomes.
  • Create scalable, reusable data and reporting foundations that can support multiple brands, programmes or customer engagement initiatives as applicable.

Veeva Data Capability

  • Apply strong practical knowledge of Veeva CRM capabilities relevant to the deployed platform, without assuming a specific Veeva product or legacy configuration.
  • Guide the business use and integration of primarily Veeva data, but also additional sources such as On24 data and Matomo
  • Define and validate the business rules governing identifiers, relationships and record usage across Veeva and other platforms.
  • Ensure Veeva-related requirements are sufficiently detailed for development and data integration teams to design, build, test and support solutions effectively.
  • Review proposed functional designs and data mappings to confirm that they reflect business processes, Veeva configuration, data relationships and reporting needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Manage external reporting, analytics or delivery partners as applicable, ensuring deliverables meet agreed requirements, quality standards and timelines.
  • Influence decisions without direct authority and provide a clear path forward in ambiguous or complex situations.
  • Promote operational excellence by identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce rework and strengthen data-enabled decision-making.
