Data Manager / Research Assistant Psychologist
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Data Manager / Research Assistant Psychologist for a Wellcome funded research study, SloMo2. SloMo is a digitally supported, cognitive-behavioural therapy for psychosis that improves fear of harm from others (or paranoia). The SloMo2 study is investigating if SloMo therapy can be delivered by real world clinicians, by conducting a clinical investigation of its implementation, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness in three NHS Trusts.
The postholder will join a friendly study team that is led by Dr. Amy Hardy. The post will be supervised by Dr. Katie Taylor-Ryan, Study Coordinator and Dr. Sarah Swan, Therapy Lead. The postholder will work alongside a lived experience researcher, and liaise with routine care psychological practitioners to facilitate data collection, promote uptake, and for provision of technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide data management and reporting support for the SloMo2 study, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
- To support research delivery in line with Good Clinical Practice through quantitative and qualitative data collection, safety monitoring, and Patient and Public Involvement.
- To support SloMo as a therapy service through provision of technical support, liaison with therapists, and assistance to the Therapy Lead.
- To contribute to team functioning and project management through effective communication, organisation, and use of supervision.

SLaM employ around 5000 staff and serve a local population of 1.1 million people. We have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient and community services. Currently, provide inpatient care for approximately 5,300 people each year and treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; as well as substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.
