About the role

The Data & Marketing Operations Executive is responsible for maintaining the quality, accuracy and effectiveness of marketing data, lead management processes and marketing technology platforms. By owning data integrity, audience segmentation, marketing technology administration and performance reporting, the role enables more targeted campaigns, stronger lead conversion, better sales and marketing alignment, and improved decision-making. This position helps maximise the value of the organisation's marketing technology investments while ensuring compliance, governance and a data-driven approach to demand generation and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Integrity

  • Audience Creation & Segmentation: Support the creation and management of target audiences for marketing campaigns, including demographic profiling, segmentation, Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), account targeting and campaign data selection.
  • Data Acquisition: Manage and coordinate data acquisition activities across internal systems, external suppliers, partners and data providers.
  • Data Quality Management: Maintain marketing data quality, accuracy, completeness and consistency across all marketing platforms, ensuring compliance with internal and external data governance standards.
  • Data Governance: Support governance processes and reporting to ensure accurate use, interpretation and management of customer and prospect data.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data quality, enrich datasets and optimise data-driven processes across the marketing function.

Lead Management & Marketing Operations

  • Lead Management: Support lead capture, allocation, routing, follow-up tracking, lifecycle management and reporting processes across all marketing platforms.
  • Lead Processing: Manage the day-to-day administration of inbound enquiries, event-generated leads, content conversions and campaign responses, ensuring smooth handover and visibility for Business Development, Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Workflow Management: Monitor and support marketing workflows, automations, lead scoring models and customer lifecycle processes to ensure they remain effective and aligned with business requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Business Insights and Business Development teams to improve lead visibility, reporting accuracy and conversion tracking.

Marketing Technology & Platform Management

  • MarTech Administration: Support the day-to-day management and optimisation of marketing technology platforms, including HubSpot, Demandbase, Apollo, TheirStack and other data enrichment solutions.
  • Platform Optimisation: Monitor platform performance, process automation, dashboards and reporting to ensure systems deliver value and support marketing objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Coordinate with technology partners, data providers and external suppliers to support ongoing platform performance and data services.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Marketing Data Analytics: Monitor marketing performance data and produce actionable insights to support campaign planning and optimisation.
  • Reporting: Produce and maintain dashboards, reports and data views that support decision-making across Marketing, Sales and Leadership teams.
  • Insight Generation: Analyse campaign, audience and lead performance to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.

Compliance & Governance

  • Data Compliance: Ensure compliance with GDPR, TPS, CTPS and other applicable data regulations and standards.
  • Process Adherence: Support the implementation and maintenance of best-practice data management and governance procedures across the MarTech ecosystem.

What will you bring?

  • Experience: 2-4 years' experience within marketing operations, CRM administration, data management or a related marketing role.
  • Data Management Expertise: Experience managing large datasets, audience segmentation, data cleansing and data quality processes.
  • Marketing Technology: Experience working with CRM, marketing automation and data enrichment platforms.
  • Lead Management Knowledge: Understanding of lead management processes, lead scoring models, lifecycle stages and sales hand-off procedures.
  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate insights from marketing and sales data.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder requirements simultaneously.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Understanding of GDPR, data governance principles and marketing compliance requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external suppliers and technology partners.
  • Soft Skills: Highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.

Desirable Experience

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field such as Marketing, Business Administration, Data & Information Technology.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Experience with data intelligence platforms – such as Apollo, Cognism, Demandbase etc.
  • Experience using reporting and visualisation tools – such as PowerBi
  • Understanding of B2B marketing campaign execution
