Role Purpose

Data Mates form part of engineering resources for the Connectivity Division. Teaming up with more experienced engineers and as additional resource on larger sites, the role of Mate is ideal for someone coming into the industry for the first time or those learning trade and on their way to becoming an Engineer.

Data Mates will come across plenty of opportunities to develop and increase their experience levels across a number of different projects. Some of the projects may involve out-of-hour work and working away.

The development of Mates will be handled by regular appraisals, and suitable training will be offered where appropriate to help and encourage development.

The progression path for a Data Mate is towards the position of Connectivity Engineer and will be made available in line with the business needs once they meet the minimum Connectivity Engineer requirements
