Role: Data Migration Architect

Location: London, UK (Remote)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end data and migration architecture.
  • Define migration strategy covering discovery, extraction, transformation, cleansing, loading, validation and reconciliation.
  • Define source-to-target mappings, transformation rules and data-quality controls.
  • Design migration waves, mock migrations, dress rehearsals, cutover and rollback.
  • Define data cleansing, deduplication, exception handling and remediation.
  • Establish data reconciliation and completeness/accuracy controls.
  • Define data lineage, ownership, retention and archival requirements.
  • Support migration from legacy to modern/cloud platforms.
  • Define data flows across operational systems, enterprise data services, reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Identify migration risks, dependencies and data constraints.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong Data Architecture & Data Migration experience.
  • Proven experience with source-to-target mapping and data transformation.
  • Strong data quality, cleansing and reconciliation experience.
  • Experience with migration planning, cutover and rollback.
  • Legacy-to-modern/cloud platform migration experience.
  • Knowledge of batch and real-time data movement.
  • Strong understanding of data lineage, governance, security, privacy and retention.
  • Experience with regulated/financial-services data migrations.
