Data Migration Consultant
Redfaire is looking for a highly experienced Data Migration Consultant to lead and execute complex, large-scale data migration projects for our clients.
This is a senior-level role combining deep technical expertise, strategic leadership and hands-on project management. You will act as a key technical authority across multiple projects, with a particular focus on migrating clients from legacy systems such as Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
You will own the data migration strategy from initial analysis and solution design through to final cutover and post-go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data migration activities and define comprehensive migration strategies, methodologies and best practices.
- Own the full data migration lifecycle, including data analysis, source-to-target mapping, data cleansing, transformation, loading and reconciliation.
- Act as a primary technical contact for senior client stakeholders, project managers and technical teams.
- Design, develop and optimise scalable data migration pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Develop complex transformations using Mapping Data Flows and manage pipeline orchestration and monitoring.
- Lead Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud migrations.
- Work with Oracle migration tools and templates, including FBDI, HDL and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) where required.
- Establish data quality frameworks and validation processes to ensure data integrity.
- Identify and resolve source data quality issues ahead of migration.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and client teams.
- Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support pre-sales activities, including project scoping, technical validation and client presentations.

What We're Looking For
- 10+ years' experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on data migration, integration and ETL.
- Proven experience leading multiple end-to-end data migration projects in a Lead, Principal or Architect capacity.
- Expert, hands-on experience designing and building complex ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), including Linked Services, Datasets, Pipelines, Triggers and Mapping Data Flows.
- Strong knowledge of the wider Azure data ecosystem, including Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Recent experience leading at least one full-cycle Oracle EBS to Oracle Fusion Cloud migration across Finance, SCM or HCM.
- Deep hands-on experience with Oracle data loading tools, particularly FBDI and HDL.
- Strong understanding of Oracle EBS and Oracle Fusion data structures and modules.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior and C-level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.

Desirable
- Azure certification, such as Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203).
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification.
- Experience with other major ERP systems such as SAP or PeopleSoft.
- Consulting or professional services experience.
