Job Title: Data Migration & Decommissioning Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Migration & Decommissioning Lead to establish the discovery, dependency mapping and retirement approach for a legacy data estate, covering Alteryx, GDW, DataStage, DB2 and SCOPE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a repeatable legacy retirement method and estate register covering consumers, feeds, processes, owners and dependencies.
  • Conduct an end-to-end deep dependency mapping of the first priority system/component and validate it with owners.
  • Define the retire / migrate / retain decision process, including reconciliation, data retention, business acceptance, cutover and rollback.
  • Track legacy systems, dependencies, retirement plans and milestones in Jira.
  • Drive at least one agreed migration or retirement milestone during the engagement.
  • Ensure retirement activity is aligned with replacement readiness and business sign-off.
