Luxoft is partnering with one of the world's largest financial market infrastructure organisations on a high-profile data transformation programme and we're looking for an experienced Data Migration Lead to play a key role in shaping the strategy. This is not a traditional delivery role. You'll be joining during the mobilisation phase of a major migration initiative, helping define the blueprint for transitioning a large-scale enterprise data estate from Matillion to AWS Glue. Working alongside senior client stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams, you'll analyse the existing ETL landscape, assess migration complexity, design migration waves, establish governance frameworks, and help create the delivery strategy that will underpin a multi-year transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and define migration waves based on business priorities, dependencies, and technical constraints
- Assess workload complexity and determine appropriate migration approaches
- Analyse existing batch processing environments, schedules, dependencies, and SLAs
- Design the migration strategy from Control-M to AWS Step Functions
- Create detailed cutover and rollback runbooks, including validation and success criteria
- Coordinate multiple delivery teams and migration workstreams
- Drive release governance and deployment readiness across the programme
- Support risk identification, mitigation planning, and migration assurance activities
- Contribute to proof-of-concept activities and target-state architecture planning

Essential Skills
- Proven experience leading enterprise-scale migration programmes
- Strong migration wave planning and execution experience
- Deep knowledge of Control-M, including scheduling, dependencies, calendars, and job orchestration
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS Step Functions workflows
- Strong understanding of migration risk management and dependency analysis
- Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and post-migration assurance
- Enterprise release management and governance experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with Airflow, AWS Glue Workflows, or other orchestration platforms
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect and/or DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with AWS Lambda and EventBridge
- Financial services, capital markets, or financial infrastructure experience
