Data Migration Project Manager

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in data migration and large-scale transformation programmes? Do you enjoy working in complex stakeholder environments and driving successful delivery across high-profile transformation initiatives?

We're looking for a Data Migration Project Manager to support major Central Government transformation programmes. Working alongside programme leadership, technical specialists, suppliers and customer stakeholders, you'll take ownership of a critical data migration workstream and be responsible for ensuring successful delivery from planning through to completion.

This is not a hands-on technical data migration role. Instead, you'll provide strong project leadership, governance and control across migration activities, ensuring teams remain aligned, risks are managed effectively and programme milestones are achieved. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering transformational change across multiple government organisations while working on complex and rewarding programmes.

We can offer great career progression opportunities, the ability to be based anywhere across the UK, excellent benefits and ongoing training and development opportunities. While the role is UK-wide, you will be required to travel on an ad hoc basis when required by the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the end-to-end delivery of a data migration workstream within a large-scale transformation programme.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, delivery schedules, governance controls and reporting mechanisms.
  • Managing project finances, risks, issues, dependencies and programme reporting.
  • Coordinating internal teams, suppliers, technical specialists and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Overseeing migration activities including extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, loading and cutover planning.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and supporting delivery against key programme milestones.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
