Data Analyst Modeller
Location: Stratford, London, three days per week on site
Rate: Approximately £500 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
Contract duration: 12 Months
We are recruiting an experienced Data Analyst Modeller to support a major digital transformation programme. You will investigate data across multiple products and platforms, develop logical models and help business and technology teams agree consistent definitions and structures for sharing data.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong modelling skills, SQL expertise and confident stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Develop logical data models and entity relationship diagrams.
- Map data structures, flows and system boundaries across multiple products and applications.
- Use SQL to investigate source data, profile datasets and identify data quality issues.
- Work with subject matter experts to identify business entities, relationships and rules.
- Facilitate discussions to agree shared definitions, data ownership and usage.
- Define and review shared data structures and data contracts.
- Align models with enterprise data standards, naming conventions and taxonomy.
- Present models clearly and secure agreement from product, engineering and business teams.
- Maintain data dictionaries, mapping documentation and modelling artefacts.

Essential experience

- Substantial hands-on experience developing logical data models and ERDs.
- Strong SQL skills for data investigation, profiling and validation.
- Experience mapping data across complex systems and translating business requirements into models.
- Ability to explain modelling decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience applying enterprise data standards and agreeing consistent business definitions.
Desirable experience
- SaaS products and Azure or AWS environments.
- Education, digital learning or assessment platforms.
- Python for data analysis and automation.
