Sustainability Data Modeller

Role Purpose

Design the data models, data structures and integration requirements needed to support sustainability reporting products and processes. The role will translate business and regulatory requirements into clear conceptual, logical and physical data models aligned to target product architecture and end-to-end reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models for sustainability and regulatory reporting.
  • Translate target product, reporting and process requirements into clear data structures, relationships and dependencies.
  • Define data requirements across energy and utilities, property, supplier and procurement, travel, employee commuting, waste and water, leased assets, and investment data.
  • Analyse source data to understand structure, quality, granularity, history and suitability for target reporting requirements.
  • Define source-to-target mappings and transformation logic across enterprise and external data sources.
  • Design data integration requirements and interfaces between source systems, target products and reporting platforms. The role defines integration requirements rather than building integrations.
  • Align data models to target business processes, calculation requirements and sustainability reporting outputs.
  • Profile historical and current datasets to identify gaps, inconsistencies, duplicates and modelling implications.
  • Define reconciliation, validation and exception requirements to support accurate data transformation and reporting.
  • Develop test scenarios to validate data models, mappings and transformation logic against business and product requirements.
  • Work closely with Sustainability, Product, Change and Technology teams to resolve data design decisions and dependencies.
  • Maintain clear model documentation, data definitions and design artefacts to support product delivery and implementation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
