This is a strong opportunity for a Data Modeller or Analytics Engineer who wants to move into Data Architecture. You will join a team investing in modern data platforms and governance, with clear mentorship and a defined path into architecture. The role is designed for someone who enjoys modelling and wants to shape how data is structured and used across a complex organisation.

The Role

  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across multiple projects
  • Support the development and enforcement of data architecture standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and governance teams to ensure consistent data design
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and well-structured data models
  • Contribute to the evolution of the organisation's data architecture, with mentoring from senior architects
  • Work across modern cloud-based data platforms to support transformation initiatives
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote good data modelling practices and architectural thinking

Your Skills and Experience

  • Strong commercial experience in data modelling within modern data environments
  • Exposure to dimensional modelling approaches such as Kimball or Data Vault
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Familiarity with tools such as dbt, PySpark, or Python is beneficial
  • Understanding of data architecture principles and a clear interest in progressing into an architectural role
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into structured and scalable data solutions
