I'm working with a fast-growing, globally recognised performance sportswear brand that is looking for an Enterprise Data Modeller to own the shared data models that every part of the business relies on: product, location, account, customer, calendar and the measures that cross functions.
The role
- Profile source systems in BigQuery to establish grain, keys, completeness and consistency before anything is designed
- Design conformed dimensions and facts, with declared grain, surrogate and business keys, hierarchies and effective-dated history
- Write the model specification for each shared subject
- Work with data engineers and analytics engineers who build in dbt and verify
- Define the reference data the shared layer depends on
- Review domain data products against the shared modelling standard and help teams join to the shared layer rather than rebuild it
- Own the enterprise bus matrix, the source-of-record table for shared attributes, the decision log and the data dictionary

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
