About Active Lincolnshire
Active Lincolnshire is a values-driven organisation working with partners and communities so that more people are active, more often. We focus on tackling inequalities in access to sport and physical activity, using insight, collaboration and learning to create lasting change.
About the role
The Data and Monitoring Lead will play a key role in strengthening how Active Lincolnshire uses quantitative data and evidence across our work. Working closely with the Head of Insight and Evaluation, the role will turn data into clear, useful evidence that supports monitoring, learning and decision-making. It will help us monitor progress, understand activity and inactivity levels and participation patterns, identify inequalities and demonstrate the impact of our work.
What you’ll be doing
- Analyse and support the effective use of quantitative data from a range of sources across the physical activity sector, alongside monitoring data from specific programmes.
- Maintain accurate monitoring information and produce clear analysis to support reporting, evaluation and decision-making.
- Support colleagues, partners, sport and community organisations to access, understand and use data and relevant platforms effectively.
- Support the Head of Insight and Evaluation with quantitative evidence required for Sport England reporting and wider monitoring.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
