About the Role

A UK-based consultancy is currently struggling with a growing backlog of project data that no longer reflects their daily reality. As a Data Operations Coordinator at Tech Pipeline, you will address the friction points that prevent their team from seeing a clear picture of their work. You will focus on the gaps between their project management tools and their billing systems, identifying where manual workarounds have replaced automated routing rules. This is a full-time, fully remote position designed for someone who enjoys organizing information and fixing the small technical seams that hold a business together.

About Tech Pipeline

  • We identify and fix the specific operational drag that slows down growing companies.
  • We specialize in fixing broken approval chains, manual reconciliations, and systems that do not talk to each other.
  • Our team prefers updating an SOP or a routing rule over creating an abstract framework or a slide deck.
  • We work within the software tools our clients already own, finding the right configuration to solve the problem.
  • We value clear documentation, named ownership, and plain English in all our communications.
  • Our goal is to leave a client as soon as their team is stable enough to run the new process without us.
  • We operate as a fully remote team, focusing on technical fixes and concrete results.

What You Will Do

  • Review daily data entries from the consultancy's project tracking tools to identify missing fields or stale data.
  • Perform manual reconciliations between resource logs and client invoices to ensure everything matches.
  • Update internal SOPs when a process changes, ensuring the documentation stays accurate to the actual work.
  • Monitor system logs for errors in automated data transfers and report specific points of failure.
  • Help clean up drifting backlogs of outdated project entries to restore the integrity of the database.
  • Assist in the cutover phase for new data routing rules, monitoring the first few weeks of live operation to ensure the fix holds.
  • Document every change in a shared decision log so the client understands exactly how their data flows.
  • Collaborate with the ops lead to draft runbooks that explain how to maintain the systems we fix.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How We Work

At Tech Pipeline, we believe that the best way to help a client is to fix the specific tool or rule that is causing them trouble. We do not spend time on high-level strategy if the data in the system is wrong. Our team relies on weekly written updates rather than daily sync meetings. We document everything as we go, creating a clear trail of what was changed and why. When we engage with a client, like the UK-based consultancy we are currently supporting, we focus on the specific routing rules and manual workarounds that are causing delays. Once the data flows correctly and the client can manage the process themselves, our work is done. We value honesty, technical accuracy, and the satisfaction of a job finished well.
