Manager – Operations & Data | Real-World Evidence
Cheshire or London – £45,000 + Benefits
Are you experienced in clinical research data management, with a strong understanding of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, data integrity and compliance?
We're supporting a well-established global healthcare research consultancy looking to appoint an Operations Manager (Data) within its Real-World Evidence team. This could suit an experienced Clinical Data Specialist, Data Manager or EDC Systems professional looking to take on broader responsibility for data management processes and systems oversight.
The role will focus on overseeing EDC systems, supporting research teams with data management processes and ensuring best practice around data integrity, compliance and quality across observational research studies.
Role Summary
You'll work across a team delivering bespoke observational research studies for pharmaceutical clients, providing specialist support and guidance on EDC systems, data management and operational processes.
The position sits independently of the project management teams, allowing you to provide oversight of data management practices, support internal reviews and advise colleagues on appropriate systems and processes.
The role is less focused on hands-on data analysis or statistical programming and more around ensuring research data is collected, managed and maintained appropriately.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
