We're looking for a Data Operations Manager who can take ownership of business-critical master data, improve operational processes and turn reporting insight into meaningful action.

This role is ideal for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in getting the detail right. You'll work across Finance, Sales and Operations, building strong relationships, influencing change and helping the business make better decisions through accurate, reliable data and streamlined processes.

Where and how you'll work:

This is a full-time, office-based role in Manchester, NQ. You’ll report to the Senior Transactional Finance Manager and work closely with Finance, Sales and Operations teams to protect data integrity, improve transaction flow and support reliable reporting.

You'll have ownership of transactional master data (e.g. Sales data, COGS, GSV) with a view to drive standardise and automate, ensuring the business can make better decisions faster.

You’ll likely thrive in this role if you:

FMCG experience is not essential.

What you'll be trusted to do:

  • Own and maintain transactional master data across relevant systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency and effective controls.
  • Drive the standardisation, simplification and documentation of transactional and administrative processes across the business.
  • Develop and manage exception reporting, proactively identifying, investigating and escalating issues before they impact transactions, reporting or stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to improve ways of working and ensure departmental outputs support efficiency and service delivery.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues, documenting root causes and recommending practical solutions.
  • Assist with testing, implementation and rollout of system and process changes, including UAT and user training where required.
  • Provide clean source data, exception analysis and supporting evidence for month-end reporting activities.
  • Produce operational reporting and analysis to support decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Support audits and compliance activities by providing documentation, controls evidence and process information.
  • Work closely with Financial Reporting, Commercial Finance, Sales and Operations to understand process impacts and mitigate operational risks.
