London (The Strand) | Hybrid (2 days onsite)

We’re partnering with a leading insurance company to appoint a Data Operations Manager.

This is a high-impact role sitting at the heart of the business's data platform, owning the transition between build and run, ensuring data products are delivered, deployed and operating effectively at scale.

You’ll work across a complex, fast-moving environment supporting critical data journeys across life and health products, with real autonomy to shape how DataOps is run.

The Role

You’ll lead Data Operations across a growing data engineering capability, ensuring platforms, pipelines and environments are stable, scalable and compliant.

This is a hands-on leadership role. Balancing delivery, operations and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the run function for data platforms and pipelines
  • Leading and mentoring DataOps within a broader Data Engineering team
  • Managing the transition from build → deployment → live operations
  • Triaging issues, assessing impact and driving resolution (low → high severity)
  • Establishing scalable, automated processes across data and ML environments
  • Ensuring data quality, availability and consistency across systems
  • Driving best practice across build, release and deployment
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to prioritise and deliver data initiatives
  • Defining KPIs and using data to improve operational performance
  • Ensuring strong governance within a regulated environment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
