Contract Data Engineer / Data Platform Engineer | Frontier AI Lab

📍 London or Paris | Hybrid, 2–3 days in the office

We’re working with a frontier AI lab building the systems used to train, evaluate and improve the next generation of AI agents.
They’re looking for engineering-focused Data Engineers to build the infrastructure that supports research and experimentation, working closely with software engineers and AI researchers.

What you’ll be doing:
- Building reliable data pipelines and platforms to support model training, reinforcement learning and evaluation
- Designing systems that make complex datasets accessible and usable across research and engineering
- Owning engineering problems from initial design through to production
What they’re looking for:
- Strong Python fundamentals and solid software engineering practices
- Experience building and operating production data platforms and pipelines
- Confidence working through ambiguous problems in a fast-moving environment
- Ideally, a software engineering background with a move into data infrastructure
