Databricks Platform Engineer | London (Hybrid, 2 days/wk) | Up to £75K

Own a Databricks Lakehouse platform, not just build on top of one.

We're looking for a platform engineer who lives and breathes reliability, governance, and cost — not a data engineer who happens to use Databricks.

What you'll actually do:

  • Provision and operate Databricks workspaces, clusters, SQL warehouses
  • Own Unity Catalog: schemas, row/column-level security, lineage, audit
  • Build real Terraform modules for Databricks + CI/CD automation
  • Tune Spark/Delta/Photon to cut DBU spend without slowing teams down
  • Manage SSO/SCIM, service principals, secrets, network isolation
  • Support MLflow, model serving and feature store for ML/GenAI work

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll thrive here if you:

  • Have 3+ years hands-on administering Databricks in production (not just running notebooks on it)
  • Can talk Terraform fluently — and have the scars to prove it
  • Understand FinOps, not just "make it faster"
  • Know SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / GDPR aren't just acronyms

This is platform ownership, not pipeline building. If you're the person other engineers come to when Databricks breaks — not the person building on top of it — let's talk.
