Data Platform Lead (Streaming Experience Mandatory)
Milton Keynes, UK 12 Months Fixed Term 3 Days a week work from office.
Key Responsibilities
- 12-15 Years of experience.
- Lead and manage the Data Streaming Engineering team.
- Design, deploy, and support scalable data platforms on AWS.
- Manage streaming solutions using Kafka/MSK, Kinesis, and related technologies.
- Administer and optimize Amazon EKS clusters in production environments.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Design and troubleshoot AWS networking components including VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, Load Balancers, and IAM.
- Manage and support EC2-based infrastructure.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, security, and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver platform solutions.

Required Skills
- Strong AWS expertise: EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka / Amazon MSK / Kinesis
- Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting on EKS
- Terraform module development and infrastructure automation
- AWS Networking and Security
- CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions
- Linux administration and scripting (Bash/Python)
- Monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace
- Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
