Data Privacy & Protection Manager – (UK, Europe, International)
Location: London
Contract: 12-month + rolling contract
Work Arrangement: Hybrid working
An international retail group is looking for an experienced Data Privacy Manager with international Data Privacy and Protection experience.
In this role you’ll play a key role in supporting and developing the organisation’s global data protection programme, working closely with UK and international stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for a data protection professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment and wants to have a genuine impact on privacy and data protection practices across a global organisation.
The Role
This is a hands-on role and you’ll deliver on practical, commercially focused data privacy & protection matters including providing advice across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and awareness of the global data privacy & protection programme
- Advising on global data privacy matters and data-sharing initiatives
- Drafting and reviewing Data Processing Agreements, Data Transfer Agreements and Data Privacy Impact Assessments
- Maintaining and developing privacy policies and procedures
- Supporting data protection training and awareness.
- Working with business stakeholders to ensure personal data processing activities are accurately recorded and documented
- Advising on privacy considerations when implementing new technologies across areas different business groups
- Coordinating data subject requests and data breach incidents
- Stay up to date with regulatory developments and providing practical advice to key stakeholders
- Supporting data privacy champions across the organisation
- Working with internal and external legal counsel as necessary

About You

You’ll ideally have:
- Significant experience in data privacy & protection.
- Experience / knowledge of international privacy and data protection legislation
- Experience working within a large international organisation
- Strong experience reviewing and advising on data privacy for contracts
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
- The ability to communicate data privacy and protection subject matter clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
