About the Role

Our client, a PE-backed financial services scale-up, is looking for a hands-on data leader to help take their AI data strategy from roadmap to reality. This isn't a role for someone who oversees data strategy from a distance. It's for someone who has personally designed and shipped AI-native data products, working directly with business teams and end users to take them from concept through to live delivery. That could mean AI embedded within a data pipeline, an AI-enabled data product, or a solution that uses data to power AI-driven insights and experiences you built yourself.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll do

  • Sit above an existing data team, diagnosing gaps and challenging vendor delivery (particularly around Databricks/AWS-based platforms), and coordinating internal talent with external vendors to keep delivery honest and on track.
  • You'll be the bridge between data strategy and what actually gets built.

What we're looking for

  • Proven, hands-on experience building agentic AI systems, AI agents, or AI-led data products, not just strategy or governance work.
  • Strong cloud platform experience (AWS preferred).
  • A track record of product-led thinking, not pure data quality, MDM, or data governance work.
  • Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and end users, not just technical teams.
