Data Product Owner

Fully remote UK
£450 per day Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
6-month contract with view to extend

Data Product Owner requirement to join a global organisation. You will be accountable for the vision, roadmap, delivery, adoption, and business value of one or more data products. You'll serve as the bridge between business, data, and technology teams to deliver trusted, scalable, and high-impact data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product vision, roadmap, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable product requirements.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products from ideation to retirement.
  • Manage product backlog, releases, and investment decisions.
  • Partner with engineering, analytics, AI/ML, and governance teams to deliver data products
  • Drive adoption, change management, training, and stakeholder communication
  • Define and monitor data quality, reliability, and trust metrics

Skills & Experience:

  • Product strategy, roadmap planning, prioritisation, and backlog management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication.
  • Business case development, value measurement, and outcome-driven delivery.
  • Agile/Scrum product management experience.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT, APIs, and cloud data platforms.
