Data Product Owner
Location: Flexible / Hybrid
Position: Permanent | Full Time
Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 depending on experience level.

Working closely with Data Business Partners, stakeholders, analysts, and engineers, you will define the vision, roadmap, and delivery of trusted data products that enable better business outcomes and enhance the experience of our customers and colleagues.
How you'll help us make health happen
As a Data Product Owner, you will:
- Define and own the vision, roadmap, and backlog for data products across Commercial and Clinical & Operational domains.
- Collaborate with Data Business Partners and stakeholders to translate business priorities into actionable data solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of dashboards, reports, and data models alongside analysts and data engineers.
- Ensure data products are governed, documented, and aligned to data quality and compliance standards.
- Monitor product performance, adoption, and impact, driving continuous improvement through feedback and analytics.
- Champion user-centred design principles to create intuitive and valuable data products.
- Manage and develop a small team of analysts, providing coaching and direction to support successful delivery.
- Act as the bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, objectives, and timelines.
- Support adoption and engagement through training, communication, and change management activities.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role
Essential:
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data governance, and data lifecycle management.
- Experience defining product roadmaps, backlogs, and user stories.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching team members.
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in Product Ownership or Product Management within Data, Analytics, or Business Intelligence environments.
- Experience within healthcare, clinical, or operational settings.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner, BCS Data Management, or equivalent.
