Data Protection DSAR Analyst
We are looking for a Data Protection DSAR Analyst to join our Information Security Team on an initial 3-month contract (Inside IR-35). Based at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool, this role will support the delivery of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) across the B&M UK business.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Information Security Business Partner, you will play a key role in collecting, reviewing and preparing information in response to DSAR requests, ensuring data is handled securely, accurately and in line with regulatory requirements. Working with stakeholders across the business, you'll help deliver a responsive and compliant DSAR service while supporting continuous improvement within our Data Protection and Information Governance processes.
Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For:
- Supporting the end-to-end delivery of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).
- Conducting searches and data collection activities across Microsoft 365 using Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Premium.
- Reviewing, organising and preparing information for disclosure.
- Applying redactions and ensuring sensitive information is handled appropriately.
- Working with stakeholders across HR, Legal, Information Security and IT to support request fulfilment.
- Maintaining accurate records and audit trails of all activities undertaken.
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR, UK Data Protection legislation and internal policies.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and data governance practices.

Skills and Experience
The Skills and Experience You'll Bring:
- Experience supporting Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), records searches or data collection activities.
- Experience using Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Premium and conducting searches within Microsoft 365.
- Good understanding of GDPR, UK Data Protection legislation and information governance principles.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review and analyse large volumes of information accurately.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A methodical approach to working within established processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience within Information Security, Compliance, Legal, Data Protection or Governance environments would be advantageous.
- A proactive mindset with an interest in continuous improvement, automation and process optimisation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
