We're looking for an experienced Legal Manager - Data Protection and Privacy to join our Global Data Protection team in a highly visible and influential role.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified lawyer or regulatory professional with specialist privacy expertise to help shape data protection strategy across a trusted international brand, supporting more than 1,500 stores globally while working alongside senior leaders across our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice on GDPR, data protection, privacy and information rights matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work closely with stakeholders at all levels, advising on complex privacy issues, supporting regulatory engagement, leading Data Protection Impact Assessments, and helping to embed privacy by design throughout the organisation.
- Play a key role in handling data subject rights requests, privacy complaints and regulatory matters, while supporting and deputising for the Group Data Protection Officer when required.
- Influence policy, strengthen compliance frameworks and help drive a culture where good information handling is at the heart of everything we do.

Requirements
- At least two years' experience in data protection and privacy.
- Strong understanding of GDPR and its practical application within a commercial environment.
- Confident managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Capable of working independently.
- Comfortable providing advice to colleagues at all levels of the business.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience of handling subject access requests, privacy complaints, regulatory notifications and broader data protection compliance activities.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience gained within an in-house legal team, retail, healthcare or technology environment.
- Professional qualifications such as ISEB Practitioner level certification, CIPP accreditation, or experience across EU and international privacy frameworks.
