Temporary Information Governance Officer
1 Month Contract
Monday to Friday
(Full time - 40 hours per week with flex)
Hybrid or Remote
£16-£18 per hour
Starting Monday 28th Sep
We're partnering with a leading arts and cultural organisation to recruit a temporary Information Governance Officer to support an increased workload within their Records & Information Governance team.
This role will focus on handling Subject Access Requests (SARs), reviewing and redacting records, maintaining case logs, and supporting wider compliance activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the handling of allocated Subject Access Requests (SARs) from receipt to response.
- Liaise with stakeholders across the organisation to gather and collate relevant information.
- Review records and search results using Microsoft eDiscovery and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Apply exemptions and carry out redactions in line with UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
- Maintain SAR trackers, case notes and audit records.
- Prepare disclosure packs and response documentation for review.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure requests are progressed within statutory timescales.
- Support wider Information Governance and compliance activities as required.

About You
- Previous experience managing or supporting Subject Access Requests.
- Knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Experience reviewing and redacting documents containing personal data.
- Confident using Microsoft 365 and ideally Microsoft eDiscovery.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Comfortable working independently and managing competing deadlines.
- FOI or wider Information Governance experience would be advantageous.
