Data Protection Solution Sales Executive
Phoenix enables digital transformation across the UK public sector, empowering organisations to innovate with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, data, AI, security and collaboration technologies.
We are now hiring a Data Protection Solution Sales Executive to join our Cyber Advisory team and drive growth across our data protection portfolio, with a particular focus on Rubrik solutions.
This role will focus on generating pipeline, developing strategic opportunities and supporting customers throughout the full sales lifecycle. Working closely with Phoenix sales teams and Rubrik stakeholders, you will help identify new business opportunities, drive renewals and upsell activity, and strengthen Phoenix's position within the data protection market.
What will you be doing?
- Act as an overlay sales specialist, supporting sales teams in positioning and promoting Rubrik solutions.
- Work closely with customers and sales teams to identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities.
- Support opportunity scoping, pipeline generation, quotations, renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Phoenix, customers and Rubrik.
- Deliver sales enablement and training sessions to support wider sales engagement and capability.
- Support the creation, execution and tracking of sales and marketing campaigns.
- Manage the sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Ensure all opportunities and activities are accurately maintained within D365.
- Work closely with the deal registration team to ensure opportunity data remains accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to the continued growth of Phoenix's data protection business and vendor partnerships.
- Support objectives outlined within the company's information security policies.

What are we looking for?
- Experience within a technology sales, business development or vendor-focused role.
- Strong ability to identify, develop and progress sales opportunities.
- Experience supporting customers throughout the sales lifecycle, including renewals and upsell opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail, particularly when managing opportunities, reporting and forecasting.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple teams.
- Commercial awareness and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Confident delivering sales enablement sessions and sharing knowledge with wider teams.
Experience & Qualifications
- Educated to GCSE or A-Level standard (or equivalent).
- Ideally a minimum of three years' selling experience within the technology sector.
- Experience working with vendors, channel partners or technology solutions desirable.
- Experience within cyber security, data protection or cloud technologies beneficial but not essential.

Where is the role based?
Primary location is our HQ in Pocklington (YO42).
What about hybrid/remote working?
Hybrid working is supported, with flexibility depending on role and business requirements.
How many interviews?
Following a screen with the Recruitment Team, you can expect a two-stage interview process, one online and one in-person.
Important BPSS Check
As part of our recruitment process and due to the nature of the work we do, all employees are required to undertake a BPSS check. While some employees may require further security clearance, the BPSS check is mandatory and all offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion.
