Role: Data Protection Analyst-DLP
Location: London-Hybrid
We are looking for a Data Protection Analyst with hands-on experience in Microsoft Purview DLP and Security Operations. The role involves monitoring and managing DLP incidents, investigating policy violations, handling service requests, and supporting enterprise data protection controls. Exposure to PKI and information protection concepts will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Microsoft Purview DLP incidents and alerts.
- Manage security tickets, service requests, and escalations within agreed SLAs.
- Perform incident triage, investigation, root cause analysis, and documentation.
- Support data classification, sensitivity labelling, and information protection initiatives.
- Fine-tune DLP policies and assist in reducing false positives.
- Coordinate with end users, security teams, and business stakeholders for incident resolution.
- Support certificate management and basic PKI-related activities.
- Prepare operational reports, dashboards, knowledge articles, and SOP documentation.

Required Skills
- Strong experience in Security Operations, Data Protection, or SOC environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP.
- Experience managing security incidents and ticketing platforms (ServiceNow/JIRA/Remedy).
- Understanding of Data Classification, Information Protection, and Compliance concepts.
- Basic knowledge of PKI, digital certificates, encryption, and key management.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Insider Risk Management, or Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Knowledge of GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Microsoft SC-400 or related security certifications are desirable.
Ideal Candidate
A security operations professional with strong Microsoft Purview DLP experience who can efficiently manage incidents, tickets, policy violations, and day-to-day data protection operations while possessing foundational knowledge of PKI and information protection technologies.
