Data QA Engineer (Databricks)

£50,000 - £60,000 - Remote in the UK - No Sponsorship Available

Company

We're partnering with a growing organisation that is heavily investing in its cloud data platform and modern data ecosystem. Having recently embarked on a large-scale data transformation programme, they are building out their capabilities within a Databricks-based lakehouse environment and are looking for an experienced Data QA Engineer to play a key role in its ongoing success.

Role

This is an opportunity for a technically strong Data QA Engineer to take ownership of testing across a modern Databricks data platform. Working closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers and business stakeholders, you'll be responsible for ensuring data products, pipelines and platform releases are thoroughly tested and meet high standards of quality, reliability and performance.

A significant part of the role will involve working directly within Databricks, creating and executing tests, validating data quality and helping shape testing processes across the wider platform. You'll contribute to testing strategy, support automation initiatives and act as a key voice for quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
