The role

The Data Quality Analyst sits within the DALQS (Data Acquisition, Literacy, Quality & Strategy) function, now combined with Data Governance & Intelligence (DG&I), within SJP’s wider Data & Insights division.

The division is structured across three core verticals:

  • Data acquisition, quality, governance, literacy and strategy
  • Data architecture, platforms and engineering
  • Data Insights – Business-led reporting and visualisation

The role is non-managerial, operating within a matrix structure and working closely with:

  • Data Acquisition, Governance and Strategy teams
  • Engineering and platform teams
  • Business and reporting stakeholders

Data Quality acts as an upstream, business-facing function, connecting external data providers with internal data, technology and business teams.

What you'll be doing:

Reporting to the Data Quality Lead in the Data Acquisition, Quality, & Strategy division of the Data & Insights (D&I) team, the role holder will be responsible for owning and leading the identification, definition and delivery of enterprise data quality (DQ) improvements across SJP, acting as a key interface between business domains and technical teams.

The role is responsible for driving proactive, value-led DQ management embedded within business processes and data products, ensuring data is trusted, fit-for-purpose and aligned to SJP’s strategic objectives.

Who we’re looking for:

A data enthusiast, passionate about data accuracy, consistency, validity, integrity, and the value that excellent data delivers to the organisation

We’re looking for individuals who bring a business-first approach, always thinking about outcomes, impact, and how data enables better decision-making across the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
