This role operates primarily on a remote working arrangement that may require occasional travel (once per month) into one of our UK sites. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

Unfortunately we are unable to sponsor skilled worker visas for this role.

About our Department:

The Data Quality Analyst joins Arden University's Technology Department at an exciting time of growth and innovation. Technology is at the heart of our strategy, enabling us to deliver an outstanding experience for students and colleagues while supporting our ambitious global expansion.

Our Technology team of around 65 specialists spans Software Development, Business Systems, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Data and IT Operations. Together, we deliver the solutions and services that keep the University running while driving continuous digital improvement.

We're also embarking on a significant AI transformation, embedding AI across the University to enhance the way we work, improve decision-making and deliver even better experiences for our students and staff. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives, shape the future of our IT platforms, and play a key role in our evolving digital landscape.

About the Opportunity:

As a Data Quality Analyst at Arden University, you'll play a key role in ensuring our data is accurate, trusted and fit for purpose, supporting everything from day-to-day operations to the safe adoption of AI across the University.

Working within our Enterprise Data Architecture team, you'll use modern data governance tools, including Microsoft Purview and CluedIn, to monitor, improve and maintain data quality. Collaborating with Data Owners, Data Stewards and colleagues across the University, you'll help establish best practice, develop data quality controls and drive continuous improvements that enable better decision-making and stronger governance.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Arden's growing data and AI journey, helping to build the trusted data foundations that will support innovation, enhance the student experience and ensure data is managed securely, responsibly and in line with regulatory requirements.

About You:

You'll be a data-focused professional with experience in data quality, analysis and governance. You'll have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve data accuracy, trust and usability across the University.

Essential Skills / Experience:

  • Evidence of data, analytical or related professional certifications, training or continued development.
  • Strong understanding of data quality principles, governance practices and information management standards.
  • Experience analysing, validating and improving data quality across business systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide clear recommendations.
  • Experience with data mapping, process analysis and documenting current and future state processes.
  • Ability to gather requirements and understand data needs from non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience using process mapping tools, such as Lucid or similar platforms.
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities and support teams in implementing effective solutions.
  • Experience building effective relationships across teams and supporting knowledge sharing.
  • Understanding of data systems, services and their application within organisational environments.
  • Knowledge of relevant professional, legal and regulatory requirements relating to data management.
