About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic data co-ordinator to work within our fast-paced Product data team. At Sunbelt Rentals, the UK's leading equipment rental provider, we have the largest fleet of Rental assets in the UK spread across 100,000+ product lines within a variety of different business units.
You will have a keen eye for data quality, safety compliance and a good understanding of Microsoft Office with the ability to learn and understand new systems.
As a Data Quality Coordinator your key responsibilities will include:
- Creating a culture of good data governance and processes, managing tight control of data changes with an auditable data trail.
- Working within a cross-functional team to help with the creation of new data structures, formats and governance.
- Cleaning and standardising our data to work with new system requirements, transferring it across in-line with agreed governance and timelines.
- Maintaining data in multiple systems and ensuring synchronisation as we transition to a single source.
- Building good stakeholder relationships with our data owners, stewards, and operational colleagues as well as with external partners.
- Regularly reviewing and auditing data to ensure that it is up to date and meets our governance framework.
- Managing processes for new data creation and data cleanse projects.
- Co-ordinating small to medium-sized data projects that feed into the overall digital transformation or data governance program using project management tools.
- Working with the Digital Transformation team to ensure data is suitably secure during day-to-day use and kept up to date.
- Continually improving, always collaborating with the team to produce ways to provide an improved internal and external customer experience using data and AI.
- Effectively dealing with queries, providing an efficient service supported by effective communication and the ability to produce accurate documentation.
- Keeping our knowledge database up to date which supports our AI agents.
- Weekly reporting to the Data Quality Manager and wider Digital & Data team.
- Any other duties as requested by Management.

To succeed in this role you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
- Previous experience in a data quality role is desirable. A proven understanding of the importance of clean and well-structured data is essential.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand tasks quickly.
- Experience using project management or workflow management tools (e.g. Monday.com, Planner, Jira, or Trello) would be beneficial.
- Experience of using asset management and product information (PIM) systems or databases would be beneficial.
- Good IT skills and familiar with Microsoft 365 products.
- A knowledge of the Salesforce product set would be beneficial as would an understanding of Power BI and any other data management tools.
- Experience of writing, updating, and following auditable processes.
- An inquisitive mindset to research innovative technologies and suggest how they could be used within Sunbelt Rentals to deliver a better customer experience.
- A basic level of understanding of generative AI.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Further educational qualifications or data apprenticeship.
