Role purpose
The Data Quality Specialist supports Vicinity’s Property Management operations by strengthening the quality, consistency and usability of operational data across centres. The role works with Technology, Data & AI Enablement, operational data owners, and centre teams to apply data standards, coordinate remediation activity, embed good data governance practices into day to day operations and improve operational data across the business.
Key Accountabilities
Data Stewardship & Standards
- Act as the operational data steward for Property Management, helping define and maintain practical data definitions, standards and quality expectations for centre operations.
- Coordinate with operational data owners and Technology teams to keep data standards current, understood and consistently applied.
- Support system-of-record decisions, governance pathways and escalation of data issues where ownership or standards are unclear.
Data Quality Management & Remediation
- Coordinate scheduled data quality management and remediation processes, including review cycles, issue triage, root-cause analysis and follow-up actions.
- Work with centre teams, Operations Enablement Centre of Expertise and custodians to resolve data issues in a way that improves quality without shifting unnecessary workload back to centres.
- Monitor recurring data issues and recommend practical improvements to standards, processes, training or system configuration.
- Coordinate with vendors, delivery partners and technology team to investigate and resolve data quality issues originating from external systems, interfaces or third-party data sources.
Operational Data Support & Enablement
- Provide frontline operational support for Tier 1 data-related requests through the Operations Enablement service support model, including guidance on data meaning, standards and issue resolution.
- Develop simple guidance, knowledge content and support materials that help centre teams enter, validate and maintain operational data accurately.
- Identify opportunities to simplify operational data activities and improve the centre experience of using core systems.
- Partner with centre teams to embed data quality governance requirements into everyday operational processes, promoting consistent and sustainable ways of working.
- Support the development of a positive data culture by increasing awareness, capability and accountability for data quality across centre teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
