About the Opportunity
We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Data Science Intern to support data-driven initiatives and contribute to real-world analytical projects. This opportunity is ideal for an aspiring data professional with a strong interest in data analysis, statistical modeling, machine learning, and business intelligence.
The successful candidate will work with datasets, assist in developing analytical solutions, and collaborate with team members to transform data into meaningful and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies.
- Assist in developing, testing, and optimizing statistical and machine learning models.
- Support predictive analytics projects and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare datasets for analysis by handling missing values, duplicates, inconsistencies, and outliers.
- Develop meaningful data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate insights.
- Conduct statistical analysis and interpret analytical results.
- Assist in evaluating model performance using appropriate metrics and validation techniques.
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to identify relevant business insights.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to understand requirements and analytical objectives.
- Document analytical processes, methodologies, findings, and project outcomes.
- Maintain data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the analysis lifecycle.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices in data science.

Technical Skills
- Programming: Python
- Data Analysis: Pandas, NumPy
- Data Visualization: Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly
- Machine Learning: Scikit-learn and familiarity with supervised and unsupervised learning
- Statistics: Descriptive statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, correlation, and regression
- Databases: SQL and basic relational database concepts
- Data Processing: Data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis
- Development Environment: Jupyter Notebook or similar platforms
- Version Control: Basic understanding of Git/GitHub
- Machine Learning Concepts: Model evaluation, classification, regression, clustering, and cross-validation
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools is an advantage. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is desirable but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of fundamental data science and statistical concepts.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Python and commonly used data science libraries.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and analytical methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong interest in developing a career in data science, analytics, or machine learning.
