We’re on a mission to make migration easy.

We started building Marshmallow in 2017. Since then, we’ve grown from 3 to 700+ people, gained unicorn status, raised ~£140M over three funding rounds, turned profitable, insured millions of drivers and lent millions in car loans.

But we’re only just getting started. Our goal is to become one of the largest financial services providers in the world. Over the next 10 years we’ll grow exponentially, not only by scaling our existing products, but also by building new ones.

To achieve our goals we need incredibly ambitious, commercially driven people who never settle for ‘good enough’. Marshmallowers are hungry for autonomy and ownership, and would rather improve than coast. Everyone raises standards and has an impact, with a focus on collective success over self-interest.

We’ve created an environment where curious, tenacious people win and grow together. If that sounds motivating, this could be the place for you.

Pricing at Marshmallow

The Pricing team shapes how we understand risk and make pricing decisions that support sustainable growth. It plays a critical role in Marshmallow’s ambition by protecting loss ratio performance and turning complex data into clear commercial action.

We work closely with claims, finance, product and other teams, to build a holistic view of risk and keep our pricing approach effective as we scale. The team acts as a key bridge between technical analytics and business strategy, helping Marshmallow stay ahead of market conditions and make confident decisions, even where data is sparse or uncertain.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The team works across modelling, business strategy and stakeholder communication. The challenge is balancing technical judgement with clear storytelling for very different audiences. It’s a team with high impact, high visibility and plenty of momentum.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning Marshmallow’s loss ratio view across our portfolio to understand performance and recommend commercial actions, factoring in both internal drivers and wider market, and economic conditions.
  • Leading conversations with internal and external stakeholders on pricing performance and risk trends, translating analytical outputs into clear pricing and portfolio insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Managing and developing a small group of pricing data scientists while raising the quality of their work.
  • Driving cross-functional investigation into claims and risk signals with partners across the business.
  • Shaping how pricing data scientists are deployed across workstreams as the team’s operating model evolves.

Who You Are

  • You’re commercially minded and enjoy connecting the dots between pricing decisions, financial outcomes and wider market conditions, not just the underlying data.
  • You’re comfortable using judgment in ambiguous situations, working with sparse or less credible data and making clear, well‑reasoned assumptions.
  • You’re naturally curious about why key metrics move, and you like to step back, challenge assumptions and tell a clear story behind trends and performance.
  • You collaborate easily with different teams (e.g. claims, finance, reserving) and communicate complex ideas in a concise, business-focused way.
