An exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Science Operations & Strategy Consultant
Join a leading global research and intelligence organisation. This role will focus on improving how a growing Data Science team operates, collaborates, and scales, while helping shape its future structure, governance, and delivery approach.
Client Details
Our client is a globally recognised provider of market intelligence, research, and forecasting services. Supporting senior decision-makers across a wide range of industries, they combine deep domain expertise with advanced analytics and data science to help organisations navigate risk, identify opportunities, and make informed strategic decisions.
Having recently invested significantly in their Data Science capability, they are now looking for an experienced consultant to help optimise team effectiveness and support the next phase of growth.
Description
- Assess the current operating model, governance framework, and delivery processes within the Data Science function.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
- Review team roadmaps, priorities, dependencies, and resource planning to increase delivery confidence.
- Recommend improvements across Data Science development, deployment, and operational processes.
- Define and embed effective ways of working between Data Science, Product, Technology, and other business teams.
- Support leadership in designing the future team structure, capability requirements, and growth plans.
- Develop a medium-term operating and workforce roadmap aligned to business priorities.
- Advise on hiring strategies, contractor integration, and team scalability.
- Coach and mentor team members through process and organisational change.
- Deliver practical recommendations and implementation plans to build a high-performing Data Science function.

Profile
- Proven experience assessing and improving Data Science or Analytics operating models.
- Strong background in organisational design, delivery optimisation, and team transformation.
- Experience working closely with Product, Technology, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to identify delivery bottlenecks and implement practical improvements.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience improving planning, forecasting, and delivery confidence within technical teams.
- Comfortable operating in evolving environments where structures and processes are still maturing.
- Previous consulting or advisory experience within Data Science, Analytics, or Technology functions is highly desirable.

Job Offer
- Immediate Start
- Daily rate of £650 to £800 per day Outside IR35
- Initial 3-month contract with potential to extend
- London (Canary Wharf) - 3 days per week in the office
