London Hybrid Working Model
6 Months Contract
£400 to £450 Inside IR35
A fast-growing, high-impact international organisation is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Scientist to take ownership of the day-to-day analytics engine and machine learning models for an established international platform across the UK and Canadian markets.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Production System Health: Oversee, refresh, and retrain the live ML model suite without needing to overhaul the underlying architecture. Keep an eye on model performance and drift.
- Commercial Analytics: Monitor baseline UK/CA performance metrics, investigate sudden anomalies, and triage operational issues across partner feeds, marketing campaigns, and recommendation logic.
- A/B Testing & Insights: Track active experiments, analyze reads, and make confident calls on promotional rollouts.
- Regulatory Compliance: Handle time-sensitive data extraction requests—including FCA reporting, DSARs, and compliance pulls—often under tight turnaround times.
- Cross-Functional Ownership: Act as the single point of contact for technical data matters across product, marketing, engineering, and legal/compliance teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
