About The Role
As part of our Group AI Team, we are expanding our internal capabilities to develop and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions across our global operations. We are establishing an "Agentic Factory" — a specialized, high-velocity team focused on designing, building, and operationalizing generative AI, machine learning solutions, multi-agent workflows, and automation systems that address complex business challenges. The primary objective of this role is to lead the engineering efforts within the Agentic Factory, ensuring the development of scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade AI solutions. Sitting alongside our AI Delivery Manager and AI Product Owner, you will serve as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, providing architectural oversight, mentorship, and hands-on engineering expertise. Your contributions will be vital in transforming innovative AI concepts into reliable, production-ready solutions that drive significant value for Rentokil Initial globally.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a highly quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience in building complex Large Language Model (LLM)-powered systems and multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, or ADK
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, natural language processing (NLP), and enterprise deployment of AI models
- Strong proficiency in data engineering, including designing ELT/ETL pipelines, data lake/warehouse architectures, and managing cloud-based data solutions on GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with MLOps/LLMOps pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices for AI model deployment
- Extensive experience in leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and managing complex projects from conception to production
- Proficiency in Python (including Pandas, NumPy, FastAPI/Flask) and SQL, with a focus on clean, modular, and testable code
- Certifications such as Google Cloud Certified Cloud Engineer, Professional Data Engineer, or Cloud AI Engineer are desirable
Responsibilities
- Design and scale robust, secure, and production-ready multi-agent workflows, orchestrations, and advanced RAG architectures in alignment with enterprise architecture standards
- Establish engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, testing frameworks, and evaluation metrics for generative AI applications
- Collaborate with cloud and data engineering teams to develop seamless LLMOps/MLOps pipelines, ensuring scalable and cost-effective deployment via Vertex AI and containerized environments
- Implement evaluation frameworks, latency monitoring, and automated guardrails to ensure AI solutions meet enterprise safety, security, and compliance standards
- Manage workflows, version control, and evaluation frameworks for internal AI assets such as prompt libraries and testing agents
- Mentor and grow the AI engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, best practices, and agility
- Translate business use cases into structured technical sprints, supporting MVP development and transitioning solutions from PoC to production for global deployment
- Support the company's AI strategy by advising on use case identification, platform selection, and technology trends to maximize impact and scalability
