About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist for a contract position with an initial duration of three months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance. This role is based in London with a hybrid working model, offering a dynamic environment where technical expertise and innovative thinking are highly valued. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and deploying advanced data science solutions for an early-stage AI organization specializing in complex global industries. The primary focus will be on analyzing industrial datasets, building machine learning models, and applying large language models (LLMs) to extract actionable insights and automate processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned data scientist looking to make a meaningful impact in a cutting-edge, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background with proven experience in deploying machine learning models in production environments. A strong foundation in statistics and data validation methodologies is required to ensure model reliability and accuracy. Experience working with large, complex datasets and translating business challenges into effective machine learning solutions is highly desirable. Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), their evaluation, and deployment workflows will be advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a collaborative approach when engaging with domain experts in unfamiliar fields.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
