About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming manufacturing and product data into actionable insights that enhance quality, optimize performance, and support strategic decision-making. Collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, and digital teams, you will leverage advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques to address complex engineering challenges. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background with an MSc, MEng, or an equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science, Data Science, or a related discipline. Proven experience analyzing manufacturing, operational, or quality datasets is essential. You should have robust programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages, along with proficiency in SQL databases and data visualization tools. A solid understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning techniques is required. Additionally, excellent communication and problem-solving skills are vital to effectively convey insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing, quality, and product performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain analytical models, dashboards, and reporting tools that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to support engineering and operational decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering and digital teams to define data requirements and reporting specifications.
- Support simulation and modeling activities by providing real-world data insights.
- Present complex findings and actionable recommendations to both technical teams and executive stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
