About The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our client, a prominent global consulting firm, on an initial 12-month contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic, client-facing environment where your analytical expertise will directly influence strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will be based in offices located in London, Birmingham, or Bristol, and will be responsible for developing sophisticated machine learning models, analyzing large datasets, and communicating insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong foundation in data science methodologies, who can thrive in a collaborative setting while delivering impactful solutions.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and practical experience, including:
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in data analysis, machine learning, and automation tasks.
- Solid knowledge of SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning models and algorithms.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex data insights clearly and effectively.
- Prior experience working in client-facing roles or consulting environments is highly desirable.
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
The Data Scientist will be responsible for a range of activities aimed at leveraging data to drive business value, including:
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to address key business challenges and facilitate data-driven decision making.
- Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support strategic initiatives.
- Prepare, clean, and transform data from multiple sources to ensure quality and readiness for analysis and modeling.
- Evaluate, tune, and monitor machine learning models continuously to maintain high levels of accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate findings, and deliver tailored data science solutions.
- Document methodologies, processes, and results to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.
