Job Description
As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and delivering data science solutions that turn complex data into actionable insights and measurable business value.
You will work across the full data science lifecycle, from understanding business problems and exploring data through to developing, validating, deploying, and monitoring models in production.
We are looking for someone with 3–5 years of commercial data science experience, combining strong analytical and modelling skills with practical experience of taking models beyond experimentation and into production.
Experience developing scoring or predictive models, particularly using FMCG, retail, or consumer behavioral data, would be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Model Development & Deployment
- Develop, test, and validate statistical, machine learning, and predictive models to solve real-world business problems.
- Take ownership of solutions from initial exploration and prototyping through to deployment and ongoing monitoring.
- Work with engineering and data teams to deploy models into production, considering scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Evaluate and monitor model performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Data Analysis & Scoring
- Explore large and complex datasets to identify patterns, opportunities, and suitable modelling approaches.
- Develop scoring and predictive solutions such as propensity, classification, ranking, segmentation, or behavioral models.
- Turn model outputs into actionable scores, insights, or decision-support tools.

Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Clearly communicate analytical approaches, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in peer review, knowledge sharing, and the continuous development of the Data Science team.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Produce high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Follow appropriate standards for testing, validation, version control, and model documentation.
- Contribute to improvements in the team's methodologies, tools, and ways of working.
Qualifications
Desirable
- Experience developing scoring models, including propensity, behavioral, customer, classification, or ranking models.
- Experience working with FMCG, retail, consumer purchasing, or behavioral datasets.
- Experience working with large-scale transactional, customer, or product-level data.
- Experience with cloud-based data and machine learning platforms.
- Understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and production model lifecycle management.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a Data Scientist who combines strong technical ability with a pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
You should be comfortable experimenting with different modelling techniques, but equally focused on ensuring solutions can be deployed, maintained, and used effectively in the real world.
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful data science problems while working collaboratively with experienced Data Scientists and Engineering teams. Curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to challenge assumptions using data will be important to your success.
