About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at SRT Marine Systems plc. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our maritime surveillance software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver robust and scalable systems that meet the evolving needs of maritime security and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating innovative solutions that make a tangible impact in the maritime industry.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development, preferably in embedded systems, real-time applications, or maritime technology.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience with software development tools and version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of maritime communication protocols, radar systems, or AIS data is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test software components for maritime surveillance systems.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and testing to maintain high-quality standards.
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Support the deployment and commissioning of maritime surveillance solutions at client sites.
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for deployed systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate new technologies to improve product offerings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
