About The Role
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Principal Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work across the full stack of Anaplan's AI applications, from model integration and prompt engineering to designing intuitive user interfaces. Your expertise will directly impact our industry-leading platform by architecting and deploying innovative AI solutions that enable intelligent, automated, and forward-looking decision-making for our global customer base. You will play a pivotal role in bridging traditional predictive algorithms with modern generative AI systems, creating scalable solutions that address complex enterprise challenges. Your responsibilities will include leading research initiatives, designing advanced machine learning models, and collaborating closely with engineering, product, and design teams to bring prototypes into robust, production-ready systems. As a technical leader, you will mentor cross-functional teams, promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications
- Extensive professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- Deep understanding of Transformer architectures, prompt engineering, and conversational AI patterns.
- Practical experience fine-tuning Large Language Models (e.g., LoRA, QLoRA, RLHF) for enterprise applications.
- Proven track record of taking models from concept to production, utilizing strong MLOps and LLMOps practices.
- Proficiency in Python and modern software development practices, including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with traditional machine learning techniques, deep learning, and timeseries forecasting algorithms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead the research, design, and implementation of advanced machine learning, deep learning, and timeseries forecasting models.
- Architect Generative AI solutions, focusing on fine-tuning Large Language Models for enterprise-specific data tasks.
- Design and develop conversational AI and autonomous agent workflows to create intuitive user experiences.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to transition prototypes into scalable production systems.
- Serve as a technical mentor for team members, promoting best practices in model development, testing, and deployment.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and incorporate innovative techniques into our platform.
- Ensure models are reliable, scalable, and maintainable through rigorous testing and monitoring practices.
- Contribute to documentation, research publications, and open-source projects related to AI advancements.
